Veodia has raised an $8.3 million Series A round of funding from Clearstone Ventures Partners, the D.E. Shaw group, and an angel group led by iParadigms chairman Steven Berger. The overall online video space has grown significantly in the past two years, and that includes the online streaming video space as well. They recently won a 2008 Webware100 Award as well.

Imagine the Wii with 3D vision. The console would understand if you were behind an object and images would move accordingly and you could reach out with your hand to “touch” items on the screen. The technology is real and it works and PrimeSense, a small Israeli company, is trying to release it into the wild.

Grouptivity Launches Social News On Facebook

Social News, like Grouptivity, is a combination feed reader/social bookmarking service. (Grouptivity raised a $2 million angel round in May, 2006. Ankesh Kumar, the CEO of Grouptivity, thinks he has a news app that taps into the viral hooks on Facebook. It is called Social News and it just launched.
