Presently.com Launches Professional Microblogging Community
Microblogging for serious business and corporate users, improves signal-to-noise ratio over general purpose sites, adds features demanded by professional users
Agile Web 2.0 development company Intridea, Inc. announced today at the SXSW Interactive conference the launch of Presently.com, the first professional microblogging environment. Presently.com, based on the company’s popular Present.ly enterprise microblogging tool, is designed to give users a more productive and professional experience.
Presently.com, the newest member of Intridea’s Present.ly microblogging portfolio, offers features users have been asking for, like group messaging; the ability to embed formatted documents, video and images; and message capacity beyond 140 characters without compromising user experience. The company also announced enhanced speed and performance in the latest release of its core Present.ly technology.
“Presently.com flips the signal-to-noise ratio from 20-80 to 80-20, so serious users spend less time sifting through trivial information,” said Yoshi Maisami, co-founder of Intridea. “While the current interface and feature set will go a long way toward achieving that objective, we’ll keep listening to users and implementing new features.”
Presently.com is currently free to all users. Companies that use Presently.com can choose later to switch to either the SaaS or enterprise internal version of Present.ly, while retaining the same feature set, user profile information, updates and messages.
“Intridea now offers more options for business microblogging than any other company on the planet,” said Maisami. “Present.ly is available either as a secure, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, or installed behind the company firewall. With the addition of Presently.com, we can help companies achieve the benefits of microblogging securely, professionally, and on their terms.”
Maisami will be joined at SXSW by Joel Postman, Intridea’s Chief Enterprise Social Business Strategist, and Richard Johnson, founder of HotJobs.com and ad hoc advisor to Intridea.
